Riascos<\/strong> has been devoted to the art of storytelling \u2014 a journey that began in Colombia, where he helped found the Colombian <strong>Storytelling Movement<\/strong>. Originally trained as a civil engineer, he made a life-changing decision to dedicate himself entirely to writing, storytelling, public speaking, and education \u2014 convinced that stories can build bridges stronger than concrete, connecting hearts and awakening imagination.<\/p><p>As an actor, writer, and performer, he has brought hundreds of stories to life, using humor, imagination, and heart to connect with audiences of all ages.<\/p><p>Between 2003 and 2010, Jaime toured the United States, performing and leading workshops at more than two dozen universities \u2014 including Stanford University, Dartmouth College, Santa Clara University, and Niagara University. Through this work, he has carried the vibrant oral traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean beyond their borders \u2014 sharing them through performances, workshops, and creative residencies across the United States.<\/p><p>Now based again in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jaime continues to build bridges between cultures through stories that awaken curiosity, empathy, and joy in young
